So to chronicle the gestation and arrival of Hannah, I created an illustrated diary of the ten months. I was going to post individually, but that would have taken forever. And there are 33 entries. That'd take up space. So here's the imgur gallery of it!

SKETCHBOOK... PART XIII
So while the busy months have been ticking by, I've continued to sketch in the Moleskine. The book is almost filled, so in the next few weeks, I should be cracking open a new one. If I've learned anything from this book, is that I should do more finished... as sketches go... sketches. Here are two more-
The first is a couple of hipsters. I'm currently working on this as a bigger piece which should be finished soon enough.

And a kid playing with his RC Robot in the park.

Sketchbook... Part XII
So a couple of new double pages from the Moleskine. The first drawing is of one of my favourite aspects of New York City, the roadside newsstand. Small shops with shopkeepers who are jammed in, surrounded by produce, mags and porn!
For this drawing, it started off as the old lady feeding pigeons. Then, I was looking through the great website Humans of New York, and saw the dude with the dreads. Decided he might make an interesting counter to the little old lady.

Pages from my notebooks... Part XI
A couple more pages from the moleskine. The first is Hagrid and the baby Harry Potter.
And some sort of bored rabbit space pilot. Why? Why not?

Pages from my notebooks... Part X
Another selection of pages from my moleskine. The first sketch just started out as wanting to draw some sort of Aztec sun stone, and turned into something a little different. I'm working this up to a bigger piece at the moment. Not entirely sure how it'll turn out, but hey ho. That's experimentation for ya!
Got myself a bunch of Copic sketch markers recently. Decided to mess about with them in a designey sort of way.
About half way through this one, I regretted starting it. I haven't counted the zombies. I don't want to.

Man of Steel
Just a quick sketch from the Moleskine, for the Irish Sketch Society. This week's theme, to commemorate the release of Man of Steel, is the Man of Steel himself, Superman. Have a lot of work on my plate at the moment, so this one just has to be a quick pencil sketch! Plenty more posts coming soon.

Pages from my notebooks... Part IX
A couple more pages from the Moleskine, more to come. The first drawing is just a quick sketch of everybody's favourite imp, Tyrion Lannister. The second was just a little experiment I conducted when I got a new brush pen and bottle of red ink. And the third was the sketch that lead to Where's Wall-E. There's more to come soon!

Patriotic Iron Man
This week's theme on Irish Sketch Society is 'Iron Man,' what, with the release of Iron Man 3, an' all. So, I did a quick drawing of Tony and his pal, Rhodey in their Iron persona gear. As a bonus, I threw in the line work too. Which I kinda prefer. Coloured with my brand-spanking new copic markers (thanks for the birthday gift, ma'!), pen and a drop of guache for hilights.

Pages from my notebooks... Part VIII
Another series of sketches from the Moleskine and some an older sketchbook. Pencil, pen and watercolour. The second sketch was something I drew while waiting to board a flight to NYC in February. I painted it up when I got home. And the third is just a quick drawing of Louis CK, one of the greatest stand-up comedians today.

Pages from my notebooks... Part VII
So I recently got myself my first Moleskine sketchbook. While it took some getting used to, it's what I'll be using from now on! And it's make me experiment a bit more. These are the first few sketches, with more coming soon...
