So I recently got myself my first Moleskine sketchbook. While it took some getting used to, it's what I'll be using from now on! And it's make me experiment a bit more. These are the first few sketches, with more coming soon...

Welcome To The Party, Pal!
A watercolour painting, with a bit of digital enhancement. Really liking the ol' watercolours at the moment, to the point where I'm using them in my sketchbook too.
Soon, I'll post the process it took me to complete this painting. Just because I kept a record!

New for 2013
First post of 2013, and to welcome in the new year, I'm starting a new type of post. I've always had an interest in photography, and thanks to a brand spanking new camera I got from my fiance, I've been taking a lot of photos recently. So, here is a sample of what I've been shooting over the last month. Some nature, some portraits, family and friends.

Last Life Drawing of 2012
Had some successful paintings from life drawing on Tuesday 18th December 2012. The first two were far more successful than the last, but I decided to share all three. In case I don't get to post again, Happy Christmas, and may you have a successful, artistic 2013!

There's Always One!
Decided to colour a drawing I did with watercolours. It's been a while since I used traditional media, but after this, I think I'll do some more.

A SHORT HISTORY OF US
So at the weekend, I proposed to my girlfriend. I had been working on an animated history of us, and completed it last week. It came as a complete surprised to her, and her reaction was better than I could have ever hoped. This really was what they call a labour of love, and I enjoyed every minute in animating it!

RE-IMAGINE A MOVIE POSTER
The Boulder Blog's latest theme is Re-Imagine A Movie Poster. Made me think... what if Pixar had done Jurassic Park?

An experiment in life drawing
Over the weekend, a friend of mine and one of her colleagues were doing a 'cut.' They're fitness fanatics and they build bulk and muscle, then cut right down so they're at their peak fitness. It was a unique opportunity to draw some really ripped folks, so I went along and here are some of the results. Believe me, their back muscles were incredible and a real challenge to draw.

JUNIOR SENIOR
So this was the piece I was originally going to submit to the Animation Art Show in July. While I like the piece, I didn't think it was for the show. Still, it's a little tribute to my favourite film!
